Greenberg: Halo 3 outsold six PS3 exclusives combined
An interesting tweet has come in from Xbox product director Aaron Greenberg today. Apparently, Xbox 360′s Halo 3 has sold more copies than six highly-rated first-party PlayStation 3 exclusives combined since it launched in 2007.
“Just in from research team (NPD),” Greenberg wrote in the Twitter update, “Halo 3 has outsold Resistance 1 + 2, Uncharted 1+2, Killzone 2 and God of War III COMBINED….wow.”
Greenberg claims the numbers are from the NPD and if they’re accurate, then we must offer both Microsoft and Bungie a congratulatory bravo. Anybody want to do some math for us to see how many copies that actually comes out to?

UC 1 = 2.6 mil UC 2 = 3.5 mil Resistance 2.5 mil GoW 1.1 million Killzone 2 million. Resistance 2 is not even in 1 million i think but lets just make it 1 mill sold. thats around 12.6 million
Halo 3 has sold 8.1 million.
All gotten from wiki, either Greenburg can’t do math or wiki got it wrong. Still pretty good numbers. 8.1 million is wacked but still i think halo is overrated.

Greenberg is an ass, always has been. Who else compares their sales in this sort of way with their competitors? His statements are always shitty and often aimed at fueling fanboy wars.

Those are Worldwide sales. They even break it down in some like how many were sold in japan EU US. And gran turismo prologue didnt sell 3.5 million. it sold 4.65 million :)

Final Word: Certainly Gran Turismo 5 (PS3) will breaks all records.
HALO 3 is garbage compared to Killzone 2 and Uncharted 2. The production quality for those 2 games alone would be way too much for the 360 to handle.
People will buy HALO just because it bears the HALO name.
HALO is way overated. It’s all been done before.
