While we thought Activision would be holding a press conference this year, it turned out to be something much greater. Instead of your standard press conference, full of corporate big shots speaking about and showing the latest and greatest games, Activision instead held a multimillion dollar concert in the Staples Center.

There was a small showcase of games, although they barley took any attention. Not with Usher, Pharrell Williams, and Eminem on stage, that is. Activision even gave the whatever hundred thousand amount of people that attended free access to basically everything. Free beer, free candy, free pretzels, free everything. Luckily for me, I received a nice little wristband to get access to the floor.
