The latest issue of Famitsu has done as promised and has announced a final release date for the Japanese release of White Knight Chronicles: Awakening of Light and Darkness.

The White Knight Chronicles sequel will release in Japan this summer on July 8, 2010 exclusively for PlayStation 3. I think it’s fair to expect a 2011 release for North America then, no?

Also in the Famitsu preview, it’s been revealed that players will be able to keep data that they have saved from the first White Knight Chronicles when they begin the second. This includes their avatar’s appearance, items, equipment, guild and synthesis ranks, their Georama items and their downloaded presents.

In addition, SCEJ will be throwing in a redeemable code that will let players download an avatar equipment item called “White Knight Transformation Equipment” for first print copies of the game.
