In yesterday’s THQ financial call to investors, CEO Brian Farrell has revealed that the publisher is working on both games for Natal and Move and that more will be revealed at next month’s E3.
“You will like what you see,” Farrell said. “We have not announced what we will charge for any of the games either, but the fact that they are financially lower [in cost] to produce for in general, appeals to us because it’s not about the tech, it’s the game.
“Natal has the ability to interact with digital objects and it seems to appeal to causal gamers, but you will not see the porting of games to Natal, but games created for it.
“That’s the way it should be – supporting new tech. Same with Move. You have to do something unique to both.”
When Farrell was quizzed on whether or not this meant they would bring any of their Wii titles over to PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360 thanks to their new motion control, Farrell explained that being high-def systems, it would take more than “just porting” to do that.
Look forward to next month. It’s gonna be one hell of a show.
Thanks, VG247.
