Early this past April, gaming blog GoFanboy reported that Square Enix was set to announce Valkyrie Profile 3 for Xbox 360 at this year’s E3 Expo. Just recently, however, with the new PSM3 teaser resembling the Square Enix RPG series, the site has revised their rumor saying that their ‘wires got crossed‘ and that ‘in the rush’, they’ve made an error. Now, according to them, the game is a PlayStation 3 exclusive set to be revealed in PSM3 as little as two weeks before the big show.
Take this as a rumor for now, and trust it no more than you would any other rumor….. athough, the thought of a Valkyrie Profile 3 does make us drool in excitement. If this is true, Sony’s already showing off a bad-ass line-up for the show, with today’s LittleBigPlanet 2 announcement, the upcoming PS3 zombie game, and the rumored inFAMOUS 2.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE INFINITE UNDISCOVERY, STAR OCEAN, & RESONANCE OF FATE. I AM REEAAAALLY HOPING THEIR NEXT TITLE IS VALKYRIE PROFILE 3. I LOVE TRI-ACE. STILL MAKING MY WAY THROUGH THE EPIC ART MASTERWORK FROM THE GODS THAT IS FF 13……
Nice, another Infinite Undiscovery fan. The game did have it’s shortcomings certainly, but I thought it was fantastic.
I also thought it was fantastic AdamBoy64. Yes it was a bit of a love/hate game for many people, but I am definately in the camp who loved it. Perhaps not Tri-Ace’s most ambitious or technically advanced game, but how did that stop it from being a great experience!
Tri Ace are most likely my favourite RPG developers, even more so than just SE on their own. I am currently playing through RoF after beating FFXIII and loving every second of it.
I really hope this turns out to be true – Tri Ace have yet to let me down the original Valkyrie Profile was the first game I played from them!

Why not release this amazing game for both consoles? many people that enjoyed the VP series would love to have it on the 360 aswell. I know I personally would purchase it for both. :) I really hope they look into that suggestion. plus they could make more money that way.
