Ninja Theory keeps quiet on Devil May Cry 5 rumors
by [@salromano] at 07:07 PM EDT, May 24, 2010 .

Ninja Theory chief designer Tameem Antoniades isn’t saying whether or not the studio’s “top secret project” is the heavily rumored western-developed Devil May Cry 5.

“I can say it is an unannounced game for an unannounced publisher,” Antoniades told VG247 during an event in Barcelona, Spain promoting their upcoming Namco Bandai title Enslaved: Odyssey to the West.

When asked if the mystery game was Devil May Cry 5, he replied: “Well, there’s no way I’m gonna confirm or deny if we’ve got anything to do with it.”

Capcom’s preparing the announcement of a “bombshell” sequel at E3. The company has said in the past that they’re going to utilize western developers on existing IPs while using Japanese teams for completely new projects.

Antoniades’ quietness and Capcom’s plans sure add up to a Ninja Theory-developed Devil May Cry 5. We’ll see come E3.

I THINK JAPAN SHOULD KEEP ALL DEVELOPMENT JAPANESE, & THIS IS FROM A WESTERN GAMER. DMC 4 WAS A PERFECT HIGH ART MASTERPIECE FROM THE GODS, SO I DON’T SEE WHY THEY WOULD NEED TO SHIFT DEVELOPMENT? I BUY CAPCOM GAMES BECAUSE THEY ARE JAPANESE = BETTER ART DIRECTION & STYLIZATION. I DO LOVE NINJA THEORY THOUGH….
