Modern Warfare 2 – second map pack arrives late 2010

Activision Blizzard has confirmed today that the second map pack for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will not arrive until late 2010.

During today’s financial earnings call, Activision chief operating officer Thomas Tippl confirmed that the map pack will release within the same time frame that Treyarch releases Call of Duty: Black Ops – slated for November 9, 2010.

The first pack broke an Xbox LIVE record when it released early last month and sold like hotcakes on PlayStation Network and PC when it released on Tuesday. I think we can easily expect another $15 price point for the second pack.
