Activision has announced that the second map pack for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 will follow a pattern similar to the first and debut on Xbox LIVE on June 3, following a release on PlayStation Network and PC at an unannounced, later time.

The ‘Resurgence’ map pack will come with five unnamed maps. In celebration of the announcement, Infinity Ward will host two Double XP weekends. The first is on Friday, May 28 and the second on Friday, June 4.

Santa Monica, CA – May 13, 2010 – The second pack of new multiplayer maps from Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare® 2, will hit first on Xbox LIVE® online entertainment network worldwide on June 3rd with the release of the Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare® 2 Resurgence Pack. Featuring five maps, the Resurgence Pack follows on the heels of the record-setting Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare® 2 Stimulus Package of maps.
