Kojima confirmed for conference appearance at E3
by [@salromano] at 11:48 AM EDT, May 22, 2010 .

Hideo Kojima, creator of the Metal Gear Solid series, will be at the Electronic Entertainment Expo this year. Unfortunately, you won’t see many interviews come out of him – none at all, actually. What you will see is Kojima-san on stage at the Sony and/or Microsoft conferences, most likely showing off Metal Gear Solid: Rising.

“Mr. Kojima is on a very tight schedule, and will not be doing any interviews,” a Konami rep told Dualshockers when trying to schedule interview time with the legendary game developer. “He will be going to E3 and appearing at the conference for the 1st party publishers and that’s it. I don’t even think he’ll make it to our [Konami] own conference. Afterwards, he starts a world tour for Peace Walker.”

There you have it. Maybe we’ll get the first gameplay out of the show? I’d love to see how Rising plays out.

I’m so intrigued to see what Rising looks like. Is it going to be an MGS classic style game or something new/more action orientated as debated on forums? I guess only E3 will tell us the answers.

I always like to see Kojima though, he’s such a great designer.

Duuude finally! I don’t even know why they bothered announcing Rising last year. There has be no word about it since it was announced. Hopefully this is a sign that it will be revealed for real this year with actual gameplay.
