Kingdom Hearts Franchise Tops 14 Million

Kingdom Hearts is a popular franchise. Who ever thought that a mix between Square Enix and Disney characters could ever work well together?

Today, Square Enix has announced that the action role-playing game franchise has shipped over fourteen million copies worldwide since the first game released for Japan in March 2002.

The latest title in the series – Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep launches for PSP on September 9. Game director Tetsuya Nomura has already teased the third game, as well as confirmed that three new titles in the franchise are in development.
