Swedish indie developer Southend Interactive has announced this past week that they’ll be bringing their cube-walking new puzzler Ilomilo to Xbox LIVE Arcade.
The puzzler focuses on two characters named Ilo and Milo. For some reason, they’re always getting separated from each other. The player’s goal is to reunite the two. They do this in the world full of cubes that the two inhabit, turning cubes and making them cooperate with each other. The player controls both characters, but a buddy can jump in and control one instead for real cooperative play.
The game features a single-player campaign through four different environments, co-op with a friend, cameos of other famous game characters to spot, online leaderboards, and an unlockable mini–game titled Ilomilo Shuffle, which even has its own leaderboards.
There’s no set release date for Ilomilo, but it’s something you’ll want to look out for. Check out the first screens at the gallery. If you prefer to see the game in action, check out the first trailer below.
