Square Enix wants to know why you purchased Final Fantasy XIII for PS3 or Xbox 360

Following yesterday’s first-month sales numbers for Final Fantasy XIII, Square Enix is asking its faithful why they purchased the role-playing game on either PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360. That’s a version-specific question, by the way.
Yesterday’s numbers were at 828,200 units sold on PlayStation 3 and 494,300 units sold on Xbox 360. The total came in at about 1.3 million sold.
To participate in the survey, you must be registered to Square Enix’s Members site. The survey period ends on April 30, 2010.

I haven’t actually signed up with SE’s site yet, perhaps this survey is a good time to get myself registered with them.
The answer to the question is of course simple. I am huge FF fan and pretty much own all the games in the series, including spin offs. Knowing this it is an obvious fact that I would pick up FFXIII on day one – and Im glad I did too, its brilliant!
I wonder why SE is doing this actually, just out of general interest?
FF is tied to the ps name more than the 360. If people have both they are going to tend to buy it on the ps3, think thats pretty obvious.
It’s a classic PlayStation series (well, after Nintendo) and the PS3 version has a slight edge on graphics.
I think this survey works only with US accounts. Europe accounts have “This service can’t be logged into” message with EU account, or my account is broken or whatever.
Anyway, Xbox conversion was expensive – they probably want to know why 100% more people chose PS3 version. Maybe they are thinking about FF13-2 or VS13 and considering if xbox version will be viable.
PS3 version its better and FF its well known as a PS frranchise.
