Just recently dated for the same date in Japan, Square Enix has announced that Raystorm HD will arrive in North America on May 5, as well.
However, unlike Japan, North America will only receive an Xbox LIVE Arcade version of the game, with no mention of a PlayStation Network version anywhere in the press release.
The arcade shooter is a remake of the original Raystorm for PSone with updated visuals and eight exciting stages to play through. Gameplay modes include Arcade, Extra, Ranking modes and more. This high-def release also includes an all-new spacecraft named the R-GEAR.
It’ll go for 1200 Microsoft Points ($15) when it launches on May 5, 2010.
