Raystorm HD dated for May 5 in Japan
Taito has announced tonight that Raystorm HD, their upcoming high-def remake of the classic shooter, has been pinned down for a May 5 and May 6 release on the Xbox LIVE Arcdae and PlayStation Network, respectively, in Japan. The Xbox LIVE Arcade game will go for 1200 Microsoft Points and the PlayStation Network game for 1500 yen.
Raystorm HD is a remake of the original game, including all three R-Grays and the R-Gear, a fourth ship that fires homing missiles.
No word on the US release yet, although it’s already been rated E10+ by the ESRB. We’ll keep you updated. In the mean time, check out two new screens, a box art, and two ship renders at the gallery.
