PS3 Firmware v3.30 adds trophy sorting, 3D [Update]

Update: It’s out now. That was fast.
Original: Firmware v3.30 is on the way for PlayStation 3, and unlike the last firmware update, it won’t be removing any features. Instead, it’s adding features, specifically to do with trophies.
These new features include:
- Trophy enhancements – Now you can more easily sort trophies in the [Trophy Collection] and [Comparing Trophy] sections. Sorting can be done with [Trophy Collection] in the [Game Category] and also when comparing trophies with your friends in the [Friend Category]
- Trophy Folder (Title List) can be sorted by game name/ by title according to the date in which you earned your last trophy (ascending/descending)
- Add-on list (Group list) can be sorted by original/the date in which you earned your last trophy (ascending/descending)
- Trophy list can be sorted by original/trophy name/grade/date of obtaining the trophy (ascending/descending)
SCEA’s Eric Lempel said these trophy sorting options are the “most notable” features added in this update, implying that other features will be added. 3D is one of them. We don’t know what the rest are, though, if any.
Firmware v3.30 should be available soon.

Well, if they’re leading with Trophy support then the rest of the updates are probably weak.
3D is nice but hardly reason to get excited since the install base for 3D TVs has to be paltry at best right now.
I actually saw a 3D TV for the first time a few days ago. Pretty impressive but I think the glasses would probably get in my nerves after a while. I didn’t think they would but after putting them on for just a few minutes I was glad to be taking them off and watching TV the normal way.
