Killzone 2 set to go 3D this summer

The latest episode of PlayStation Network’s Qore has confirmed that Guerrilla’s Killzone 2 is to receive a 3D patch by the end of the summer.
Other games shown during the 3D discussion included LittleBigPlanet, Gran Turismo 5, WipEout HD Fury, and Super Stardust HD. Expect to play these games in 3D around the time the firmware update enabling 3D rolls out.
Thanks, Connected Consoles.

While I think 3D will take off I just don’t see it taking off as fast as Sony probably wants/needs.
There are still a wide margin of people that don’t own an HDTV and now you’ll have even smaller margin of people who will own a 3D set as well as its expensive and very special 3D shutter lens glasses.
It’s great that Sony is kicking off the 3D party for consoles but it probably won’t matter for at least another 2 to 3 years when the prices of the sets and the glasses are less expensive and when the technology has actually proven itself.
