Gears 3 doubles the co-op campaign to four players
by [@salromano] at 03:58 PM EDT, April 13, 2010 .

Two players? That’s nothing. Gears of War 3 is promising double the amount of players for its drop-in, drop-out co-op campaign.

Take in mind that these two new characters joining Marcus and Dom alongside their fight for humanity aren’t just mindless drones to be controlled by two other players. They both have their own backgrounds and feelings to bring to the story, and both offer something unique to the game.

Game designer Cliff Bleszinski confirmed the doubled co-op on Twitter, saying “Also, Rod confirmed and I’m posting it here: 4 player integrated story co-op in the campaign!”

More friends, more fun – the way I see it.

Thanks, Kotaku.

Except if you were trying to play online in Gears 2. Then it does.

I honestly rarely ever got into a game (or was disconnected after two minutes) in Gears 2. I used to play Gears 1 online like an animal. Gears 2 wouldn’t let me.

      Let’s hope that doesn’t happen in Gears 3. =]

Wow that is messed up…I never had those problems before…Especially in finding a game…Even right now its easy..The only problem I have is the Shotgun and Host advantage…but then again the Shotgun can be used by everyone and Host is random
