Gears of War designer Cliff Bleszinski , known for carrying a weapon for every announcement he makes, will not bring a weapon to his new game reveal next Thursday on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.
“I shall not say “bigger better blah blah” or carry any weaponry for the Fallon announce,” Bleszinski wrote in a recent Twitter status update.
The “bigger better blah blah” line is a pun at the Gears of War 2 announcement where Bleszinski said the game would be “bigger, better and far more badass than the original”. It’s being assumed that he will be announcing Gears of War 3 next week.
Gears of War 3 has been heavily rumored for a release in April 2011. The cover for the next issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly also lists Gears of War 3 as one of their previews.
