Capcom has announced that a sequel to the downloadable Bionic Commando: Rearmed 2 is on the way to PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE Arcade in early 2011.

The sequel brings Nathan Spencer, the elite soldier with bionic capability, to his greatest challenge yet: tech genius General Sabio, who is on the brink of launching a deadly missile attack on who knows where.

New features include new weapons and Bionic Arm enhancements, new platforming mechanics, new physics-based puzzles, two-player co-op, a new musical score by the same guys who did the original game’s soundtrack, and cut-scene art designed by the same guys who worked on BioShock 2 and God of War III.
