SCEA: 2010 “will be one of our best years ever”
by [@salromano] at 02:15 PM EDT, March 8, 2010 .

Sony Computer Entertainment America Sr. Director of Corporate Communications & Social Media Patrick Seybold has said that 2010 is going to be PlayStation 3′s best year yet. We’ve heard a similar statement from Microsoft regarding the Xbox 360 earlier this year.

“We’re expecting 2010 to be one of our best years ever,” Seybold told VG247. “It’s a great time to be a gamer in 2010.”

“Games on PS3 have started to really hit their stride in 2009 and we don’t expect any slow down in 2010,” he said.

“There’s a lot of great content coming in the near future including the titles you mentioned [Killzone 2, Uncharted 2, MAG, God of War III - Ed], but you also can’t forget another big exclusive coming later this year is ModNation Racers.

“ModNation Racers will really further set in stone that the idea that we started with LittleBigPLanet of ‘Play, Create and Share’ is only available on PlayStation, and really taps the creativity of PlayStation 3 owners and the power of Playstation Network.”

Sony’s hold a press conference at GDC this Wednesday. A lot of details for their motion controller is expected. We’ll keep you updated.

  1. Ha ha ha ha like every year. But if we see make sense to me, Socom 4, Gran Turismo 5, Modnation Racers, God of War 3, Heavy Rain, Mag, White Knight Chronicles, White Knight Chronicles 2 (japan) FFXIII (not only, but its the real version and its gonna blow out the “other” version), FFIV and the unannounced games, probablys exist for: Killzone 3, Resistance (regardeles some new ip from imsomniac), Media Molecule project, Last Guardian, FFvsXIII (maybe this year in japan), Sony Japan teams, Infamous 2, etc.

    And the playstation move.
