Greenberg confirms Microsoft E3 conference and Natal experience
by [@salromano] at 03:01 PM EDT, March 25, 2010 .

Microsoft’s Aaron Greenberg has said that the company will have a “Project Natal” experience on a Sunday night followed by a press conference on a Monday morning when E3 arrives this June.

“Just 1 press conference on Monday morning,” Greenberg wrote on Twitter. “Sunday night is a “Project Natal” experience, not a press conference.”

Apparently, they’re excited.

“We’re gearing up for a really exciting E3,” he wrote in a following tweet, “and wanted to share some key dates to put on your calendar. More details to come.”

E3 is not as far away as you think it might be. June 15 through 17.

I’m actually curious to see what Nintendo will bring to the party. Will they show off the 3DS? If so, how many games will be on tap to show off the technology?

And you’re right TezChi, this E3 will be a huge deal but I think this show will be more spectacle while next year will be about games that developers are making for the new motion technologies from Sony and MS.

I wonder if MS will actually respond to the Sony/Kevin Butler “no buttons” remark or will the technology be captivating enough to speak for itself.

I do think, however, that MS should just stick with the Natal name. It’s been called Natal for nearly a year. To call it anything else would probably be a bad for marketing. The word-of-mouth thing is already there unlike Sony who didn’t attach ANY name to their motion control until just now. If MS referred to it as the X-Camera or something else generic then the shock of a new name would be okay.

Oh well, I’m excited to see what they can do and if the games will be a mini-game/Wii fest or if they’ll actually offer something for the hardcore gamer.

That creepy little English kid and bouncing red balls won’t be enough to into my wallet.
