Following the announcement that Cliff Bleszinski will debut his new game next week on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, the cover for the first issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly surfaces on the magazine’s subscription page with none other than Gears of War 3 as one of its featured stories.

I’m not sure how long the cover has been up on the EGM subscription page, though. Take in mind that it’s almost April 1 here (and already is in some parts of the world) and jokes may come into play. This may be a slick move on EGM’s part by putting it on the subscription page and hoping someone will notice. Also, if it were true, I’d normally think that a game like Gears 3 would take a cover spot rather than Super Street Fighter IV (no offense, Capcom).

Is it true or not? Looks like we’ll have to wait until next Thursday to find out.
