Final Fantasy IX PSN approved by Square Enix board
Last week, Square Enix producer Shinji Hashimoto said to “look forward to next week” when he would bring up a PSone Classics edition of Final Fantasy IX at the upcoming Square Enix board meeting.
The meeting has passed and today, Hashimoto returns with good news.
“The presentation went well. The result will come on Friday. Everyone, please pray,” Hashimoto wrote in the first Twitter update.
“Fortunately for Final Fantasy IX, it’s the 10th anniversary, so many of the board members approved,” he followed up.
Final Fantasy IX‘s tenth anniversary happens in Japan on July 7, 2000. In North America, it happens on November 14, 2000 and in Europe on February 16, 2001.
Thanks, Andriasang.
