Experience the art of Final Fantasy XIII on your iPhone

If the game’s not enough for you, now you can have its official art in the palm of your hand. Square Enix announced the release of the Final Fantasy XIIII Larger-Than-Life Gallery application for iPod Touch and iPhone today.
The gallery features all the artwork and cinematic images seen in the game at its highest-resolution. A clock and calendar are also included in the app, for if you ever feel like going past the slide screen to check the date and time.
The app is available now for a hefty $8.99. I’ll let you decide if you want to drop that kind of cash for an art gallery.

I bought this and it actually charged me $1.07 (so $0.99 without tax). I don’t know if that was a mistake or not, or if the displayed price is a mistake.
Either way, if the price is actually $8.99 and I just got lucky, no matter how big of a fan you are it is not worth it. There are only a handful of pictures and a calender mode that has no functionality. I can’t even set them as my background. They are high-res so you can zoom in very far but you are better off getting the art-book or artwork online and transferring them to your phone.
If this was meant to be priced $0.99 it would have made more sense. There’s really only around 10 pictures and that’s all there is too it other than the useless calender.
Yeah. I want to buy it but not for $9. I think it was just you, all the people writing the user reviews didn’t mention anything about being charged a buck.
