Cryptic Studios have stated that there are “no current plans” to bring their hit PC massively-multiplayer online game Champions Online to any console.

“100% of our focus is on making the current PC product the best it can be,” explained Cryptic Studios’ Jack Emmert on the official forums. “There are no current plans for a console version of Champions.”

This contradicts Cryptic’s statement in November, where they confirmed they were “doing a lot of work on the console version of the game right now,” and that “the Xbox 360 version will also have the benefit of launching with all the additional content we’ve created and balancing we’re doing since the PC launch.”

All good things come to an end. This one just came before it even started.
