Mega Man 10 released on WiiWare today. While it’s not coming to PlayStation Network until March 11 and Xbox LIVE Arcade until March 31, we are getting new intel thanks to the Wii version.

It’s already confirmed that both Mega Man and Proto Man are playable, but there’s a third additional character coming to the lot. Bass, Mega Man’s Wily-crafted rival, will also be a playable character. According to a leak from Mega Man 10‘s operations manual, both Bass and Treble will be available as downloadable content. The content won’t release until April, though, but ‘Bass Mode’ is sure to please fans.

According to the manual: “Bass can shoot in 7 directions. Some of his abilities differ from Mega Man’s. Not compatible with Rankings or Challenges.”
