Update: Apparently, this whole thing was misinterpreted. An IGN staff member confirmed on the boards. “Potentially bad news for you. I was just told that people (including me when I made the thread) are misinterpreting the meaning of what was said in the podcast. ”

Original: According to the latest episode of IGN’s PlayStation 3 podcast, Podcast Beyond, a trophy patch is on the way to a “very good” game for PlayStation 3.

IGN did not provide any other additional details other than the fact that the news story would be posted up today. So we won’t have to wait long to find out exactly what it is.

Fans have been dying for a Metal Gear Solid 4 trophy patch. Kojima Productions’ latest response on a patch in August was that our “voices are being heard” and “as soon as [Kojima Pro] has something to say, [they] will announce it”.

Today may be the day.
