First US Final Fantasy XIII commercial is 360-only

Debuted during last night’s NBA Celebrity All-Star Game, the first Final Fantasy XIII commercial ended with an Xbox 360 logo and no mention of a PlayStation 3 version. Square Enix was a sponsor in the All-Star event and Microsoft seems to have been a sponsor behind their ad, which also mentioned the upcoming Final Fantasy XIII Xbox 360 bundle, as well.
We’re not sure if this means Microsoft has secured exclusive rights to the Final Fantasy XIII advertising campaign, but either way, Sony should get their ass in there, too.

Smart of MS to jump on the ads first and shame on Sony for making the game appear to be exclusive.
But then again, there were different ads for GTA IV, Rock Band and others but it is kind of messed up that Sony didn’t get on this first. But, again, it was very smart of MS to get a headstart by making people link FFXIII with 360.
While I still think the game will sell way more copies on the PS3, for Sony’s sake I hope they do get an ad out and quickly. Maybe even promoting the fact that the 360 version is inferior (which has yet to be proven) to the PS3 version and requires 3 discs over one Blu-ray disc.
I really don’t think that Sony gives a damn with GOW3 and Heavy Rain on the way.I don’t blame them though,MS is always the ones to promote multi plat games because the 360 lacks exclusives. The game has already sold greatly in Japan and pushed the PS3 sales so Sony has benefited from the game.
I don’t know why people think that a multiplat game will sell one console over another.Let’s we forget that the PS3 outsold the 360 in the minth when GTA4 came out, despite the former exclusive DLC and MS promoting it as if it was exclusive.
Anyway,FF13 is selling better on the PS3 on Amazon and Gamestop. We all know that the 360 does not have a JRPG fanbase to begin with. Why would anyone care about a multi game when you can get it on either console? It’s exclusives that will make the difference and I am glad that I bought a PS3 because it has the most.
It’s just sad how one company keeps cutting corners and trying to buy their way to success instead of actually building their own franchises and exclusive games like Sony and Nintendo did and continue to do.
You got it mate, i agree with what you have said. You hit the nail on the head.
