Castlevania: Lords of Shadow is CG-free
by [@salromano] at 01:03 PM EDT, February 18, 2010 .

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow will not have any cutscenes generated by high-end computer graphics, producer David Cox has confirmed.

“All cut scenes are done using the games engine,” Cox wrote in a Twitter update.

In a following update, Cox added: “Castlevania LOS is a CG free zone. Everything we have shown including the trailers is in game and rendered using the game engine. Official!!”

You can see he’s excited. Earlier this month, Cox confirmed that the game should last about fifteen hours long.

Thanks, Examiner.

YES! No one should use CG anymore, there is no reason to. I hope this game has lots of cutscenes….

Looks incredible but I wonder the same thing about them getting that type of quality from the 360. If so it just solidifies the theory that the PS3 and the 360 are closer in power than PS3 fanboys would like to admit.

I also agree that CG intros and cutscenes should be extinct. I almost give a pass to the FF series because that’s what they’re known for really extravagant cutscenes.

There should definitely be no need for CG on the next generation of consoles.
