Bayonetta sells 1.1 million

Bayonetta, Platinum Games’ ass kicking witch, has sold over 1,100,000 units on both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

The game came in second for the nine months ended December 31, with Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games taking first with 5.67 million units sold.

1.1 million is a lot for a new IP. Someone should tell Platinum to make a sequel. Oh wait.

    Now that’s great to hear! It was an awesome game and I would hate to see it have bad sales.

    Good to see a game like Bayonetta doing well in the sales field, especially for a new IP. I love the game and am very pleased that they are already thinking of a sequel. Good stuff!

    thats a great achievement for a new IP…they really did a great work on this game…well at least on the 360 version :)
