Transformers: War for Cybertron brings the battle home

Activision has announced a brand new Transformers game this morning, this time not based off a movie. Transformers: War for Cybertron takes place before the Transformers had any contact at all with Earth, and instead lets players partake in the everlasting battle between the Autobots and Decepticons on planet Cybertron.

The game is in development by High Moon Studios, best known for both the The Bourne Conspiracy and Darkwatch. As of yet, there’s no set release date (or press release), but I’m guessing sometime next year. Trailer is after the break.
