Star Ocean: The Last Hope PS3 gets anime box art

Square Enix has released the official box art for Star Ocean: The Last Hope International, a sci-fi role-playing game coming to PlayStation 3 in February 2010. You’ll notice immediately it’s completely different from the Xbox 360 version and looks like it’s trying to appeal more to otakus rather than the typical western gamer; the game’s two main heroes — Edge and Reimi — are shown as anime characters.
I’d say the box looks pretty damn good, but you’re buying the game, you be the judge.

Has anyone who has played this on the xbobx 360 version know if it’s Star Ocean noob friendly? Do I need to have played the other 3 before this to understand what’s going on?
@comedian: It’s very friendly to first-time Star Ocean players. The game is actually a prequel to the first three, so you won’t need any prior knowledge of the series at all to play and understand the game.
I really like the box art! Though I do prefer the look of the 360′s art more.
Sweet…
I’M SO GLAD THEY WENT WITH HAND-DRAWN ART! CG art is never as good. Now if they would just switch the U.S. Resonance of Fate box art to the cover they are using for Japan. PLEASE.
Very good! I always liked the similar Anime images that they used in magazine ads etc for the game. To see it as real box art looks great!
