PS3 Firmware v3.15 now live
PlayStation 3 firmware update version 3.15 is now live and available for download over the PlayStation Network. The optional update will only be prompted for download if you enter the settings menu from the XMB and update your console as it’s not a mandatory update.
Firmware version 3.15 includes a PS3 Data Backup Utility as well as the ability to play Minis on PS3. Full details here. Get downloading.

My only problem with the updates that aren’t mandatory is that when they eventually release another mandatory update the previous update(s) will be in there anyway.
Might as well make ALL updates mandatory. Not like you can pick and choose which updates you want to install.
