Microsoft: “Halo: Reach will be the biggest game of 2010″
The year 2009 is just ending, and 2010 is about to begin. Microsoft already claims ownership of the “biggest game of 2010″, which they are saying is Halo: Reach.
“I feel confident that there’s nothing that will compare in size,” Microsoft product management director Aaron Greenberg told Gamasutra in a new interview. “Halo: Reach will be the biggest game of 2010.”
Next year: God of War III, Gran Turismo 5, Crackdown 2, Final Fantasy XIII, BioShock 2, Mass Effect 2, Yakuza 3 and so much more release. Who really knows what will be the “biggest game of 2010″?

Bullshit, its too earlier to say it, thats marketing. I think GT5, FFXII, Halo Reach, all have the same advance.
It’s one thing for Infinity Ward to make such claims after the insane sales numbers they reached this last time but I don’t remember ODST putting up big numbers and if you ask me I think the Halo franchise might be getting a bit long in the tooth.
But this coming from someone who never got into Halo so I’m sure I’ll get flak for that.
Still, to claim biggest game of the year pays no respect to FFXIII, God of War III, Splinter Cell: Conviction, GT 5 and several others. Heck, MAG might even manage to do well (I still don’t see how but you never know). And then there’s a possibility we’ll see Resistance 3 before the year is out.
It’s all a matter of personal taste, which is why I never like these overly blanket statements. Reach cannot possibly by the biggest game of the year for someone who does not like the Halo franchise. For me, FFXIII is bound to be the biggest of the year, becuase personally speaking I am a massive FF fan. Its all personal taste!
I agree, making such a big statement with the line up for next year is pretty bold. A LOT of great games are coming out next year which I personally think can completely top Halo:Reach. I think a lot of fans of the Halo Franchise is being lost to Modern Warfare anyways.
