While we already know Gran Turismo 5 will hit Japan in March 2010, Sony Computer Entertainment has yet to announce a western release date for the game. During a preview event this week, SCEA’s Chris Hinojosa-Miranda reconfirmed (via D’toid) that date for Japan, and then revealed a “Summer 2010″ release for the rest of us.

He didn’t go any more into detail. Although he did touch on a couple of other things.

Regarding downloadable content, he did say that Polyphony is considering it, but nothing has been announced so far.

When asked differences between the Japanese and North American versions of the game, Hinojosa-Miranda said that full details on the game haven’t even been revealed. Details on that will be coming soon.
