Kojima’s apparently a “huge fan” of Twilight
Metal Gear Solid creator Hideo Kojima is admittedly a fan of Stephanie Meyer’s vampire loves series, Twilight, which seems to define life for obsessed tweens. Kojima’s even judging a fan art contest based around the second part of the four-book series in celebration of the upcoming movie, New Moon.
Kojima hasn’t directly confirmed this himself, but a press release from Pixiv (the Japanese equivalent of DeviantART) does. Apparently, the press release claims Kojima’s a “huge fan” of the series. He’ll be awarding a signed copy of Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots to the winner of the art contest as well.

I’ve also never watched or read anything to do with it. All I know is that my friend who loved vampire fiction absolutely hates the series! LOL
I’ve seen the first movie; it was on and my younger cousins were watching. Oddly enough, it was actually pretty good. I would never bring myself to read the books, though.
