Bayonetta five bucks cheaper on PS3 than 360

Bayonetta has recently released and after numerous comparisons, it’s clear that the Xbox 360 version of the game shines best, considering it was developed by Platinum Games while the PlayStation 3 version was simply ported by Sega. The difference between the two is highly noticeable and looks like it’s going to affect the price of each version in the US.
If listings on GameStop and Amazon are to believe, the PS3 game will receive a five dollar price drop in the US.
On a side note, Bayonetta sold 93,000 copies on PS3 and 45,000 on Xbox 360 during the game’s debut week in Japan.
Thanks, Siliconera.

Downloaded the demo on Japanese PSN, was fun. Turned into a buy for me.
And the hits just keep on coming.
While I’m sure 360 fans will revel in the fact that their version looks better, PS3 owners will get basically the same game at a lower price. And chances are that the PS3 version will sell better too.
My only worry is that companies will do crappy ports in the future and still get their money’s worth out of the game. Let’s hope this doesn’t lower the bar for standards.
