Uncharted 2 is a great game; one I’ve beaten twice already. It wouldn’t have been that game without PlayStation 3′s specific hardware features, however. Naughty Dog co-president Evan Wells has said that if it weren’t for things like Blu-ray, HD and cell, the game wouldn’t have been the same.
“I think the differences that you see between any two games has much more to do with the developer than whether it’s on the Xbox or PS3,” said Wells during an interview with VG247.
“Great programmers and great artists are going to make a great game. Naughty Dog will continue to push the PlayStation hardware as far as we can.
“We’re fortunate that we get to work on a system that has a hard drive and uses blu-ray for storage. Without these things, Uncharted 2 would have been a very different game. What we were able to do with the Cell processor allowed us to achieve a density of polygons and a fidelity to our effects that would simply not be possible without it.
“But ultimately, if we didn’t have a team of very talented programmers and artists, we wouldn’t have been able to take advantage of the hardware and achieve the results that we did.”
Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is available now and currently the highest rated PlayStation 3 game to date.

I am really loving this game rite now….But I dont see it being as a buy….I rented it but most likely will send it back after the Story mode…I’m more of a person to buy RPG’s
Rite now I got my eyes on that new Manga Carta 2….I wonder if its good…I guess I’ll see when I get it in a few days
To each his own. You’re definitely in the minority here as I would imagine most people that buy this game have every intention of keeping it forever. The multiplayer, co-op, treasures to find and the seldom mentioned cinema mode gives the game a great shelf life for replayability.
Uncharted 2 is definately a buy imo, and I personally have no interest in multiplayer at all. The game so far is just sheer excellent, and it’s something I will be revisiting many times in the future (like I did with the first game).
Also, Magna Carta 2 is great, I bought that as well! I love a good RPG and so far it’s really good with a well told storyline and music!
Not too surprising a statement considering most exclusive developers are almost always talking about the technology they put into the game to make a better looking, better playing experience.
While I will eventually get a 360 so I can play Splinter Cell: Conviction I can’t help but imagine how much better it would be if Ubisoft were able to use the full power of the PS3.
At this point EVERYTHING from here on out will probably pare in comparison to U2.
best game i have ever played ! and the mulitplayer is just outstanding. I just beat it on Crushing mode. GREAT GAME
