The PlayStation Network is in for a double-treat this Thursday as two, very much awaited franchises are to arrive on the PlayStation Network.
The first, Trine, seems to have been delayed numerous times, but is finally going to hit this week. The story takes place around three hours bound to a device called the Trine in a quest to save the kingdom from evil forces. The player may chose which character is suitable for whichever challenge is at hand, so it’ll get the mind moving. Trine will launch for $19.99 and have full trophy support, including a Platinum trophy.
Oddworld is next, making it’s way to the PlayStation Network with two PSone Classics, both Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee and Oddworld: Abe’s Exodus are to hit this Thursday at $9.99 each. Oddworld Inhabitants has a nice little speech going thanking Sony (sniffling a bit, as well) for the chance to introduce Oddworld to a newer generation of gamers and how they wouldn’t be able to without them.
Look out for these games this Thursday during the weekly PlayStation Store update.

Yay!
I’ve just started checking out Trine and I think it looks awesome. I must admit I was never into these downloadable PSN/XBLA games until very recently when I stumbled upon Lucidity for 360 and fell in love with it. Bearing this is mind I think I’ll definately be buying Trine when it comes out!
As for Oddworld, excellent idea! I still own my original Oddworld games for PS1 (with my favourite been Abes Exodus) so I wont be buying these, but as stated, any newcomers to the industry should definately check out these games.
I’ve been waiting for Trine.. Acutally Europe got it about 3 weeks ago. As for Odd World I played it but never owned it so I will get those after I finish Trine. I have a couple psn games. I recommend Flower.
Oh I had no idea it was already out in the EU! (shows you often I check the PS Store!)
I’m gonna go check it out now. Thanks for letting me know. Also a few people have recommened Flower now…I think I’ll have a look at it while I’m there.
