PS3 Motion Controller codenamed “Sphere”?
The currently unnamed PlayStation 3 motion controller seems to be codenamed “Sphere”, according to JoyStiq.
Sega developer Yasuhito Baba referred to the upcoming motion controller as the “Sphere” in an interview with the website during the Tokyo Game Show last month.
Apparently, “Sphere” is only the codename, since Sony representatives at the event were not familiar with the name.

Well, I guess it can’t really get any worse. I’m not a fan of the look of the controller but at least the codename is nice.
But since I don’t have any better ideas (at the moment) I really can’t complain about the name. I really don’t care what they call it so long as Sony has lots of software and, more importantly, software that makes the investment (that shouldn’t be more than $60) worth dropping money for.
