Jack the Ripper game in the works at Visceral, says LA Times
According to a report from the LA Times, Electronic Arts’ Visceral team is hard at work on oa Jack the Ripper game. They’re the same developers responsible for Dead Space and Dante’s Inferno.
LA Times cites “two sources close to EA” that have told them Visceral’s next game is indeed Jack the Ripper, based on the 19th century British serial killer.
Dead Space 2 is also in the works, and while the LA Times haven’t heard anything about a release date for Jack, I wouldn’t expect it until at least 2011.

I wonder what sort of game it will be. Presumably you will play a detective charged with discovering the Rippers identity, but I wonder what sort of genre the game will be?
I recently played the PC game of Sherlock Holmes and Jack The Ripper which was pretty good, which was a 3D point and click adventure game, though I doubt this will be anything like that.
Maybe a survival horror esque feel ala Dead Space?
The the name alone is frightening! Its no doubt going to be a gruesome game. I passed on Dead Space though I heard it was great.I will be getting Dante’s Inferno.
