Those who picked up a copy of Guitar Hero 5 for PlayStation 3 and were awarded a free copy of Guitar Hero: Van Halen for doing so will be getting their freebie a bit late.

According to Activision, this is due to a “printing error” on the game box. The direct message from Activision is below.

“Unfortunately, we made a printing error on the package of Guitar Hero: Van Halen. Fortunately, we caught and remedied the error prior to sending your disc. Our effort to ensure a completely positive customer experience has resulted in a slight delay in shipping your copy of the game.”

For those who purchased the game for Xbox 360, Wii, etc. should get their copies on time as they’re mailing them out this week.
