Fist of the North Star game debuts 2010

This week’s issue of Famitsu magazine has confirmed that KOEI ‘s recent teaser site is actually for a brand new Fist of the North Star game styled after their so frequent Dynasty Warriors games.
Fist of the North Star (Hokuto no Ken in Japan) is a Japanese manga that could be read in Shonen Jump from 1983 to 1988. The manga later took upon other forms of media like TV shows, films, etc.
Characters confirmed for the game so far are Kenshiro, Raoh (Kenshiro’s adoptive brother and nemesis) and Yuria, Ken’s fiancee.
The game will debut in Japan in 2010.

I’m dating myself but I remember playing Last Battle for the Genesis YEEEEEARS ago. The cover art sucked and the lead character (on the cover) looked nothing like Ken from FofNS. It was one of the lead titles on the Genesis and was nothing more than a side-scrolling beat ‘em up where the lead character (not sure what his name was in the game) would power up with his shirt ripping and muscles bulging more and more (just like Ken in the movie).
Then I remember seeing the animated film for the first time many years later and realized just how much that game sucked.
Sega Gensis. Good times.
