Turbine, developers of the PC MMO The Lord of the Rings Online, has confirmed to be working on a console MMO during a keynote session at GDC Austin.
Craig Alexander, VP of project development, has said that they’ve been developing the MMO in their own studio for over a year and a half. They’re making it for a PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 release.
Currently, over $20 million dollars has been spent on the still in-development title. It’s being targeted for a 2011 release.
No details such as the genre or type of game this MMO is have been released.
