Sony’s “High-Res Image Enlargement Technology” in video

Sony’s released a video of their new “High-Resolution Image Enlargement Technology”, which can make a little, baby image turn out to be a huge monster image when zoomed in. This was being shown at the recent CEDEC conference in Tokyo, Japan.
The demo shown in the video shows off a calendar mixed in with this new high-res image technology. It looks pretty smooth. I wonder how Sony can implement this into future software, though.

That’s pretty awesome stuff!
By the way, what ever happened to Cloud? Maybe this is it. Imagine a sky filled with information that you can zoom into deeper and deeper like a cloud of information.
Seeing this makes me want a calendar on the XMB.
I’m not going to lie. When I saw this, I felt like jumping into a picture.
That’s what the zooming made me think of.
