With a God of War Collection on the way to PlayStation 3, one would assume they’re throwing on some playable bits from God of War III as a little demo before the game’s release. That would be wrong. SCE Santa Monica Studios boss John Hight told IGN that it would be “highley unlikely” for a demo to arrive with the collection.
“That is unlikely at this juncture,” Hight said. “First and foremost, we want to be able to have this available for this holiday, and we don’t have a demo available yet that we feel is release-ready.
“I know a lot of people played the E3 demo and dug it and everything but, as far as our standards, it’s not ready to go into everybody’s home. So we wouldn’t want to hinder our efforts to get God of War 1 and 2 out.
“We felt like the fans were pretty outspoken as far as, ‘Man, I want to play now,’ and, “I want to play this Christmas,’ so we put the emphasis on that.”
No demo for you.

That really sucks because I remember reading about how great the demo was at E3 and how polished it looked and played. Why couldn’t they simply spray a little Windex on the E3 demo and pack it in with the HD remake is beyond me.
But if means that they can spend more time making the full game awesome then I guess we’ll just have to wait. I don’t like it but what’re you gonna do, right?
