PS3 Firmware 3.0: This guy has the right idea

It’s amazing how far community feedback can really go. We all know that PlayStation 3 firmware update 3.0 wasn’t exactly the best or “major” update that could’ve been released. The PlayStation userbase has expressed their concerns for this update countless times, but it just took a giant leap. PlayStation Network user ‘Scorchio’ has posted his rendition of a better 3.0 on the PlayStation forums.
My my, it looks gorgeous. Sony, hire this guy. He’s doing things right.

Wow! That was pretty impressive. And it’s not like he really invented anything new, he just used components that Sony has already built. I love that he included the Trophy page from the website. Genius.
Sad thing is if we see something like this at all we won’t see it for another 6 months or more since Eric Lampel and his crew are taking the rest of the year off.
I love it too. Too bad he posted it on the PSN forums. As we all know, once you suggest something to Sony it falls on deaf ears. Man, they (Sony) finally got their heads out of their asses with the price drop and the Slim, and then they go out and botched up the XMB. How many people were in the room when Sony thought the 3.0 XMB they designed was a good idea? Why don’t they use the PSN forum, PSLS, or PS3T for something useful? These forums and blogs are filled with people that want to see Sony succeed and would love to help. These photoshoped versions of the XMB prove that!
BTW, Sal the links for “Click to EditRequest Deletion” require a space between them. Right now they look like one long link.
