Final Fantasy XIV character, world info from Famitsu
The latest issue of Famitsu comes packed with new Final Fantasy XIV information and scans.
There’s a lot regarding the player. When equipping necklaces, belts and rings, you’ll actually be able to see them on your character unlike Final Fantasy XI. As you fight, your weapon may deteriorate after a while and that will also be graphically reflected. Speaking of weapons, this time around you’ll be able to pull out your sword, bow or whatever weapon you’re using, in a town.
Characters will not age in XIV, however, you will be able to change your avatar’s hairstyle. When these characters move, it’s actually utilizing motion capture sessions, which weren’t used for Final Fantasy XI. Character’s visual expressions will also change as you play the game.
The game’s world won’t feature full seamless movement, instead, there is seamless movements in areas equivalent to the size of a region in Final Fantasy XI. That means that there will be at least some loading.
Final Fantsy XIV is set for release in 2010 on PlayStation 3 and PC.
Thanks, GAF.
