New images and detail have been released today of 3D Dot Game Heroes, showing us a bit more of the female protagonist, who is actually a princess.

Players have the option of choosing either a female or male character at the start of the game. The female “Princess” character has lower attack power than the male character, however she makes up for it with her high overall power in magic.

A male character, named “Hero”, has high power in physical attacks as well as in magic. Then there’s “The Scholar”, who has low stamina and high magic power. Two new weapons were revealed as well; a sword named “Dragon Killer” and a spear named “Orichalcum.”

Images of the “Dark Knight”, a demon-looking enemy with quick movements, and the “Python” bosses are also revealed.

3D Dot Game Heroes launches November 5, 2009 in Japan for PlayStation 3. A western release has yet to be announced. Check out the screens at the gallery.
