From Software’s latest PS3 venture comes in the blocky form of 3D Dot Game Heroes, a retro 3D RPG that truly brings old school to the current generation. The game features more than just your traditional RPG story and gameplay. Both character and weapon customization can be configured in the game.

Characters are created with 16 x 16 x 16 frames, with an example above showing a character created from Irem’s Spelunker HD (available in Japan on the PlayStation Network). Weapon customization’s in-depth as well, allowing the weight, power attack, penetration, long-range attacks, and rotation of the weapon to be customized. This is done via the town’s Blacksmith.
